About Me
My name is Edward Smith and I am a web developer based in the East Midlands. At an early age I became interested in computer coding (websites in particular) and began experimenting with html and xhtml. Soon after I became a coding addict and quickly progressed to learning css and javascript.
In 2007, I began work at a very successful internet company based in Nottingham. My coding skills progressed quickly and I picked up a quick professional approach to building professional appealing websites. I also picked up the ability to work and function as part of a development team and write/interpret new coding such as asp, php and jQuery.
After working in industry for over 18 month´s I decided to expand on my knowledge towards back-end web programming. I am now currently in the process of obtaining a BSc(Hons) degree in web programming as Staffordshire University. Upon obtaining my degree I plan to get a job as a web programmer and progress within a successful web company.
Along with my studies and proffesional work, I always try to spend time researching new and upcoming trends that the web has to offer, as well as learning new programming languages. Currently I am experimenting with the visual studio .net environment in C#.
I am constantly looking for freelance developer work and as much web developer/programming experience as I can possibly grab. To date I have over 10 live websites that I have built, and have been heavily involved with a great deal more.
